My wife and I are just leaving AMR Secrets Aura in Cozumel. We stayed for seven days.
There are a lot of pros and cons to staying at an all inclusive. You have to go with the expectation of relaxation and not adventure.
This will be our third time in Cozumel. The first two were on a cruise. We booked the vacation before we decided to live the digital nomad life.
That being said, if we didn’t know that we had a busy six weeks getting everything ready to move, I probably would have been more insistent on spending more time outside of the resort. But we both just wanted to relax.
I did get a chance to do the Atlantis submarine tour.
We are planning on coming back to Mexico next year around this time. But next time we will probably stay in a regular hotel for a few weeks in Playa Del Carmen on the mainland and treat the visit as we would staying in a city in the US for a few weeks and live like locals. It’s a short ferry ride to Cozumel.
